bigInk Real Estate sold the former Theo’s Diner building at the hard corner of S Hall & E Commerce in Deep Ellum to the larger than life owner of a renown Dallas eatery.  Stay tuned… this landmark corner is about to get a “cool” makeover.If property acquisition is of interest, now is the time to get the deal done before the movers and shakers return from the annual summer exodus from DFW and start tying up properties.There is a lot of new space coming out of the ground all around the Metroplex, slated for 2014/2015 delivery. Start getting your ducks in a row now for future plays… we expect them to go quickly.

In My HeadMy summer travels this year lead me to  Portland, Oregon. The kids in Portland  seem to really have a handle on the farm-to-table scene. I met up with an engineer-turned-farmer at her place,
Kookoolan Farms and tasted some great meads, honey, cheese, poultry, pork and beef.
We also ran across a guy with a killer sandwich shop called  Lardo.
He uses local ingredients and makes his own sausage and cured meats. It was the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life.Here at bigInk, we can’t get enough of farm fresh ingredients. Don’t forget to promote these products because it will get people in the door and get people coming back for  more.By the way, did I mention we just bought a farm in Waxahachie?
